Brazil is, I think, the country with the most successful biofuels program in the world. It started in the early 70's and now the project is bearing fruit.
However, European competitors are discrediting ethanol-based fuels as damaging to the environment and main contributor to rise in food prices. I do not wonder why they are trying to bring down something that is damaging to their business.
